Mixing Designer with Affordable

For me, and many others I’m sure, designer pieces do not overflow our closets and are not a regular, everyday purchase. Designer pieces are something I save long and hard for or add to a wish list for holidays, which makes getting them all the more special. Over the years I have created my own small collection of designer items that I like to bring out for special occasions or use to add a little something special to an outfit.

Mixing high end, designer pieces with trendy, more affordable pieces creates balance in a look and gives you more chances to switch up an outfit. When purchasing designer pieces I would recommend going with styles, colors and patterns that are classic and timeless so that you can use them for years to come.

Both my top, shorts and sandals are all $50 and under and great closet basics that I’ve worn many times.

My designer pieces with this outfit are my Gucci belt and sunglasses and Swarovski bracelet, which is super special and what I wore on my wedding day!

Designer items are investment pieces that can be worn for a lifetime and even passed down. If they are something that you are passionate about and can use to set personal goals for yourself then I say go for it! They are fun to collect and build your own collection of and make any outfit feel a little extra special.
