It’s been quite a while since I took some time to sit down and write a more personal blog post so what better time than the 1st few weeks of the new year to share some of my goals & intentions for 2022. A new year brings a fresh start and a clean slate which I absolutely love. This past week I have taken some time to reflect on the past year, brainstorm and write down some new goals that I am setting for the next 365 days.
Like many, I have set financial goals. I set targets to aim for with my personal, small business with Seaside Southern and family, financial goals with my husband. Making a simple, budget excel sheet is a great starting point to see your monthly expenses, where you can cut back and what areas need more attention. We have one set up that we update every few months and reference quite often.
Health is also another goal for 2022. When I 1st met my husband we were both in great physical shape and ate a very clean and healthy diet that has unfortunately not become a part of our more recent life. While we are not going to be extreme with fitness training or cutting out all carbs (I could NEVER), joining a gym and being more intentional with our meal planning are priorities. As much as I don’t want to admit it….being physically active and eating a clean diet truly makes a difference in how your body feels on a daily basis.
Less screen time and more together time is an intention I am excited about as well. Almost every aspect of life is centered around some form of technology so forcing ourselves to put down our phones, shut our laptops, take off our apple watches and spend true, quality time with our friends, family and loved ones is something I think we should all aim for. The weekly notification that my iPhone gives me about my average screen time is a great…and sometimes scary….reminder of this.
Lastly, growing and expanding all that Seaside Southern is and can be is of top priority for me. I get so excited seeing my little corner of the internet grow and I can’t wait to see how we can continue to grow it this year! I hope to continue to share what I love, inspire others, grow this community and keep meeting other amazing women and new friends through Seaside Southern.
