This past weekend I hosted my very 1st party in our new house and it was an absolute blast. I invited all of my sweet girlfriends over for a Christmas cookie exchange to kick off the holiday season in which everyone brought a different sweet treat to share. I set the scene with a full hot cocoa bar, sweet treats of my own, wine, all of the holiday décor, and Christmas music.
I turned my rattan bar cart into a full service hot cocoa bar with all of the toppings one could dream of. My new white & gold electric kettle was perfect on the counter and great for keeping plenty of hot water on hand. I picked up festive holiday treats from Trader Joes and Target, as well as paper boxes for taking cookies home in.
Hosting can be stressful but to make sure I enjoyed the party myself, I shopped weeks in advance and prepped the house and treats the night before. It was such a success and I’m already planning my next hosting event!
