Weekend Recap Vol. 3

Another weekend for the books! It always amazes me how slow the work week can be but how fast the weekend can go. We had a jam packed weekend full of great friends, yummy food and all of the South Caroline charm.

I might be a little extreme with all the birthday celebrations but I have always grown up with birthdays for everyone being a big deal. This is a tradition Gabe has learned to carry on for me and I continue to carry on for others! This past weekend was full of celebrations for not only my birthday, but my sweet friend Elise as well!

Friday night we enjoyed dinner with our friends at Community Table. This sweet restaurant is located in the most beautiful community, I’On Club, and has as much charm inside as it does on the outside. They bring around fresh pop overs, which are something new to me, and are a light, sweet and hallow type of bread. We all shared the parmesan potato puffs and I ordered the spring pea fettuccini for myself. It did not disappoint!

Saturday morning we were up bright and early to continue the birthday celebrations. Gabe took me to the spa at Hotel Bennett in downtown Charleston for a little pampering. I received the most relaxing manicure and pedicure and would recommend this spot to any locals or visitors! Along with the spa, Hotel Bennett has a picture perfect coffee shop, La Patisserie, that is a must stop for a sweet treat and chai latte.

We headed home for a quick lunch and then back out to a hockey game to support our local league, The Stingrays! Hockey is one of my favorite sports so this was a great end to our Saturday.

We wrapped up the weekend with a whole lot of coffee and Jesus on Sunday morning at church. If you are local and looking for a place to call home I invite anyone to join me on Sunday mornings at City Life Church in Mount Pleasant!

Next stop was Post House Inn for brunch. This spot has been on my list since we moved here and it did not disappoint! It is so charming and my french toast with berries and classic mimosa were the cherry on top! After brunch we walked around downtown and did a little shopping before we headed home and crashed for the evening!

Thank goodness for my sweet hubby, family, and friends for making this weekend and birthday one of my favorites! Not that I am counting but…..only 2 more days until the weekend! haha

Never miss a post!
